Tiddly Inks Challenge #200..... Road Trip!!

My first blogged arts & crafts challenge... oh boy! I've never blogged my arts & crafts before. This isn't my first challenge, I've just never put words to page, so bear with me, please.

Over at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog, their newest challenge is called Road Trip. You can enter up to three (3) times, as long as you use a Tiddly Ink image. This is no problem for me, as I own hundreds of Christy Croll's designs.

I used the Father's Day Vintage Truck as my image. I love this design because it works as a great image for a man's card. It helps that my husband loves old trucks too! My go-to colouring tool is Copic markers. You can find lots of colour combinations on Pinterest or Google. Luckily the truck is a simple design, so I didn't need a lot of colours, as you can see.

I'm still working on using up scrap papers. I looked through my pile and found a nice red paper, and a matching polka dot design. Simple black cardstock for the card itself, as well as the matting.

I have a hard time with embellishing my cards. It's not something I'm comfortable with... in fact, most times I either feel it's overdone, or underdone. I'm never happy. Once again I found myself thinking the card needed "more". I just didn't know what to add. I played with several items, but finally came to a decision to use laser cut, wood hearts. Keep It Simple Sweetheart!

Here it is, my entry for Challenge #200... Road Trip!
