Papercrafts

My first blogged arts & crafts challenge... oh boy! I've never blogged my arts & crafts before. This isn't my first challenge, I've just never put words to page, so bear with me, please.

Come on Spring! Here's an Easter Challenge in pastels. It's time for a new challenge over at Aurora Wings Blog, and this time the them is Easter Pastels. You can enter up to three (3) times if you use one of her images, or once (1) if you use another stamp/image. I love Mitzi's designs, so I have tons to choose from.

When I first saw Mitzi's Siren digi I knew I had to have her. I coloured her immediately, then stuck her in my ok, so now what do I do with this? pile (I have a BIG pile too). The challenge on the Aurora Wings website, Challenge #55 The Elements, was a perfect opportunity to use her, plus it doesn't hurt that I can also use it in their Facebook challenge as well. The FB challenge has a sketch to follow, which is awesome, as my brain doesn't have to come up with a design.

Mitzi has honoured, and surprised me by asking me to be a Guest Designer for her September Challenge, Crop It! I can't even begin to tell you how excited, scared, thrilled and amazed I am. Where to begin? Mitzi has so many amazing designs to chose from, and at this point in time, a lot of my art has been Steampunk themed. I have several of her Steampunk images, so I knew I'd be picking one of those.

This is my second entry to the challenge on the Aurora Wings website, Challenge #55 The Elements. When I first saw Viridis Incendia, I thought she was a mermaid who captured a butterfly and brought it underwater to eat. In Mitzi's Etsy shop, she is described as a spirit of the carnivorous plant, hehe oops! Oh well, I'm calling this the Air Element, for the butterflies... yeah, that's it. I will also use her in the Facebook challenge as well, which is why I used the FB challenge sketch for this design.

I am so not a blogger. I like to create for challenges, but I usually forget to blog about my design. Thankfully, the Aurora Wings Challenge Blog forces one to blog before entering one's creation. So here goes:

I haven't figured out how to do a sidebar in this blog software yet. To be honest, I haven't really looked at it. But I have a few badges I've earned from contests via my favourite digital artists.

It's been a while since I've been able to really sit down and complete a card. Our puppy is 5 months old today, but still takes up 110% of our lives.

I started colouring this image a few days ago, without even realizing what the challenge over at Tiddly Inks was for this month. I'm using Wryn's Glasses digital stamp, coloured as always with Copic markers.

It's been a few months since I've done any colouring but started up again the other day. I still watch my favourite artists' Facebook groups and noticed a new challenge up over at Tiddly Inks. What a better way to get back into the groove.

It's challenge time again over at Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog. This time we're doing a square challenge, using squared design papers like gorgeous ginghams, square-shaped cards/creations, square matting etc.

This month on the Aurora Wings Facebook group, their challenge is "Anything Goes". I love these challenges as I simply choose an Aurora Wings image and apply it to whatever card I'm currently making. Yes, I'm lazy, lol.
